Poetry

The five poets we have selected for this issue exercise a range of skills. Jennifer Atkinson provides a meticulous view of the natural world, her eye and mind ever sharp to the life around her. Walter Bargen proves himself a virtuoso with his playful cycle of theatrical images. John Gallaher's witty lyric banter perfectly limns the political and social elements of everyday life. Thomas Cook unsettles those same elements, using headings and titling to restructure narrative itself. And Robert Lietz refreshes the idea of family in the moving lights of "Family Cinema."
